Kate and Rich - Te Parae, Masterton

April 29, 2015  •  1 Comment

Rich surprised Kate on Christmas Day by suggesting they go for a run up ‘Big Hill’ on their farm – Kate was immediately suspicious as Rich NEVER runs up Big Hill, especially on a public holiday.… (Rich was considerably slower that day due to the weight of the large diamond ring he was carrying in his pocket).  Kate said yes both to going for a run and also to Rich’s ‘Down on One Knee’ marriage proposal.  Five years later now and they have just celebrated their union with a fabulous wedding at the truly remarkable venue hidden away in the back blocks of Masterton, Te Parae.  Such a beautiful old homestead set in the most amazing grounds; it even has its own lake as the perfect backdrop for your wedding vows!  The reception took place in Gladstone where friends and family helped decorate the venue in style – Rich even made the rustic old planter boxes that graced the dining tables.  The party was kicked off with First Dance in classic Kate and Rich style – they busted out their moves to AC/DC’s great party anthem Shook Me All Night Long – testament to the bride and grooms cool personalities.  Congratulations Kate and Rich!
